What blackberry would you reccomend i buy?

I'm only 18 and a college freshman. So therefore im not one to own a business and carry a briefcase just yet. I dont need a business phone really but blackberrys are really reliable. There are just so many to choose from. The thing i do most on cell phones is text. And secondly i make and answer calls and check email. So which one is somewhat price friendly and doesnt have alot of apps i probably wont need?
