Any doctors advise you against circision due to discomfort it causes baby?

I am struggling to come to decide on this issue. I HATE the idea of causing an infant pain, however, I have heard stories of infection and tight foreskin that led to serious problems from being uncut. I have a nephew who hated being different and was angry that he was not cut. I feel so bad however about putting the infant through serious trauma. No, I will not watch a video on this as I would p out. I am just trying to arrive at a sensible decision. Do the babies really fall asleep due to shock when this is done? Is the foreskin frozen? Is pain medication given?
