Is Plan B a good medicine if you think you accidentally got a girl pregnant?

My girlfriend and I had for the first time and sadly it was unplanned and unprotected... Im so nervous because i have no idea if i d in her. About 12 hours later I realized this was a huge mistake! so i looked on line for help and saw plan b..does this work? and where can i get some fast?
