Should I have dumped a dog because of housefire in 2007?

to me it sounds like the dog is cared for ... but i do wonder from 2007 to 2011 that you can not find housing that would allow your dog ... to me that would have been a temporary solution in a difficult situation but four years later seems a bit harsh in my opinion ... especially for a dog that lived indoors for 10 years ... i know it is hard to find rentals that take pets, i myself lived in a very crappy basement apartment for a few years until i found a better place ... i would not have considered giving up my dog either but i would never make her live outdoors ... if you are comfortable with having an outdoor dog, there is nothing wrong with it ...
